‘Crisis’ of handout migrants

BRITAIN is facing a “crisis” over immigrants flocking here to live off benefits, Iain Duncan Smith admitted yesterday.
The Work and Pensions Secretary promised to beef up our welfare system before restrictions are lifted on Romanians and Bulgarians — even if it sparks a showdown with Europe.
Challenged over benefits for migrants by Labour’s Frank Field, he said: “You are absolutely right to describe this as a crisis.”
As one Tory urged him to tell Brussels to “sod off”, IDS vowed to “lock people out from coming here solely to claim benefits”.
He told the Commons that he wants to bring in rules on how long foreigners must live here before they claim.
Health ministers will tell doctors they CAN refuse to treat migrants with no right to free NHS care. And town halls will be told to give local people priority for council housing.
IDS also wants to stop child benefit being paid to the kids of migrants when the children are in the worker’s home country.
