Henry Vincent funeral: Trouble at procession for Hither Green burglar



Troubled has flared at the funeral of slain burglar Henry Vincent (inset, top right), who was killed by pensioner Richard Osborn-Brooks (inset, top centre) during a botched break-in in Hither Green. Floral tributes shaped like a BMW convertible, a Ford Transit van, a caravan and a boxing ring were among those adorning black limousines as the funeral procession snaked through the streets of south-east London this morning. Members of the burglar's family - who have reportedly splashed £100,000 on the funeral - swore out of their car windows (bottom left) and police had to step in when rocks were thrown at photographers outside the church. A man sat in the front of the hearse, believed to be Vincent's father shouted 'The King is Dead' as the procession left the church for the cemetery. One man walking behind the procession was seen holding a catapult (top right). At least one man had to be taken to the ground by police after violence erupted (bottom right).
