Algarve: Polícia Judiciária suspeita do mesmo grupo em três assaltos
Gang de Leste faz mais duas vítimas
Amarrada com fita-cola, ou dizia onde estava o dinheiro e as jóias ou cortavam-lhe os dedos com um alicate. Foi assim que quatro homens do Leste da Europa obrigaram uma mulher, de 60 anos, a entregar-lhes tudo o que guardava em casa, na Goncinha, em Loulé.
Este caso foi há três semanas e, 15 dias depois, foi a vez de uma inglesa, de 50 anos, ser atacada da mesma forma e por quatro homens de Leste, também no Algarve. A PJ acredita que são os mesmos que atacaram o casal de idosos suíço em Almancil, no último sábado, violando a mulher.
Também a cidadã inglesa se viu amarrada pelos quatro encapuzados, como sotaque de Leste, e foi obrigada a dar todos os valores e os códigos dos cartões multibanco, dentro de uma vivenda na zona rural de Telheiros, na Bordeira, Faro. Estes dois casos, ontem apurados pelo CM, têm contornos em tudo idênticos aos do ataque violento ao casal suíço, de 80 e 77 anos, no último fim-de-semana. O homem foi amarrado e agredido, enquanto a mulher foi obrigada a ter relações sexuais com os ladrões.
A PJ suspeita de que tenha sido o mesmo gang de Leste a praticar os três assaltos violentos, no espaço de um mês. “O modus operandi é muito parecido e são sempre quatro pessoas”, adianta fonte da PJ.
No primeiro caso, eram 08h00. A mulher de um conhecido construtor de Loulé era acordada violentamente por quatro homens encapuzados. “Os ladrões entraram na casa pouco tempo depois do marido da senhora sair para o trabalho e o alarme não chegou a tocar, nem o cão ladrou”, confidenciou ao CM um vizinho da vítima.
O grupo sabia o timing certo para actuar e tinha conhecimento de que a moradia de luxo estava recheada de dinheiro, ouro e jóias. O mesmo aconteceu com uma inglesa na Bordeira, que tinha em casa muitos valores e foi atacada quando estava sozinha. “Foi amarrada nos pés e mãos e ficou fechada num quarto mais de quatro horas”, contou ao CM uma amiga da vítima.

Ministério Público pediu que depoimento do arguido fosse considerado confissão integral e sem reservas. Juíza recusou.
"Espetei-lhe a faca, por trás, junto às costas, quando ele estava a levantar-se do chão." Foi assim que Ruben M. , de 18 anos, de forma fria e sem mostrar arrependimento, confessou ontem em tribunal ter matado o aluno da Casa Pia de Lisboa, Eucrides Varela, de 16 anos, a 12 de Dezembro do ano passado. E garantiu que agiu sozinho, numa luta corpo a corpo com a vítima, ilibando, assim, os restantes 15 arguidos que com ele começaram a ser julgados no Campus da Justiça de Lisboa.
Teria sido uma confissão integral e sem reservas, que o Ministério Público (MP) chegou mesmo a requerer, mas o único arguido que se mostrou disposto a falar, além de Ruben M., garantiu, por seu lado, que viu um grupo a bater em Eucrides, não tendo vislumbrado ver Ruben ali envolvido. Perante as contradições, o colectivo de juízes, presidido por Anabela Morais, com Pedro Lucas e Flávia Macedo, indeferiu o requerido, optando pela integral produção de prova.
No banco dos réus sentam-se 16 "miúdos", com idades entre os 17 e os 20 anos, todos portugueses de origem africana, a maioria residente na bairro de Casal da Mira, na Amadora, e alguns do bairro de Porto Salvo , em Oeiras. Sobressaem na irreverência, até no modo de estar em tribunal.

The Home Secretary admitted yesterday that the Government had made mistakes in its handling of immigration and had overreacted to the 7/7 bombings in London.
In his first speech on the subject, Alan Johnson said that ministers had ignored immigration problems and the growing pressure on jobs and services in parts of Britain. Some communities had legitimate concerns because they had been particularly affected.
Mr Johnson did not directly address the rise of the British National Party, but his comments came 12 days after its leader Nick Griffin made his landmark appearance on Question Time thanks to the party’s success in the European elections. Jack Straw, the Justice Secretary, struggled to defend the Government’s record on immigration during the television debate.
Mr Johnson is the first Labour Home Secretary to admit mistakes on immigration. He said his predecessors had not addressed problems that led to huge backlogs of asylum seekers and foreign national prisoners. It emerged in 2006 that there were up to 450,000 “legacy cases” that officials are now working through.
Labour had been “maladroit” in its handling of the issue but ending immigration altogether was “no sensible argument”. The Home Secretary also conceded that some counter-terror proposals made after the July 7 attacks had gone too far. “That probably was an understandable feeling — that we should be more draconian. But perhaps that wasn’t the right way to go,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s spokesman said that Mr Brown had not reviewed the comments in detail or in the context that they were made.
Chris Grayling, the Shadow Home Secretary, said: “What we need is a tightly controlled system with much lower levels of immigration and an annual cap on the number of people who come to live and work here.”
