Frank Magnitz, Germany's AfD party chairman ‘beaten nearly to death’
WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGE. Frank Magnitz, an MP and Chairman of the anti-immigration far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD), was assaulted in Bremen, northwest Germany, on Monday afternoon. The AfD party published a photo of Magnitz unconscious on a hospital bed, his face bleeding and swollen with a gash on his forehead, claiming that three men had attacked the politician in the street. AfD as well as opposition politicians have slammed the 'cowardly' attack on New Year's Eve.
