Ten officers were injured in the demonstrations in Northern France as protesters hurled stones at police
Riot police used 700 tear gas grenades as demonstrators said they were expressing solidarity with migrants
The violent confrontation lasted three hours and 10 officers were reported injured in the stone-throwing
Rally had already been banned by French authorities because the mood was deemed to tense in Calais
