A machete-wielding man has been shot dead by after attacking a group of soldiers in Brussels while shouting 'Allahu Akbar' - near a street where ISIS called for vehicle attacks just days ago.

Counter-terror police are questioning a man suspected of attacking two officers with a machete outside Buckingham Palace (pictured top). The suspect is said to have launched himself at police at around 9pm last night after crashing his car into bollards near the Mall roundabout. Two officers received minor injuries as they arrested the 26-year-old, who is now being questioned by detectives from Counter Terrorism Command at a central London police station. Eyewitnesses revealed how the hero officers wrestled the man to the ground and received hand injuries. Police were still guarding a large cordon around the palace this morning
