The woman, believe to be from eastern Europe, had been living with her three children in Worcester for the past eight months after the break-up of a relationship. Her child suffered serious burns when a bright pink corrosive substance was thrown over him as he sat in his pushchair in the city's Home Bargains store on Saturday (main picture). Four men have been arrested in connection with the attack - and the unnamed mother is now in a safe house with her son under police protection. Three of the suspects were arrested 130 miles away in Walthamstow, east London, on Sunday and are reportedly accomplished bare-knuckle fighters from the Romani community. Chief Superintendent Mark Travis (inset), who is leading the investigation, hinted the motive behind the acid attack may have come out of a 'community dispute'.
